Leadership
Personnel of the Church of God
God anoints
individuals to serve in various capacities in the church. He equips
church leaders, pastors, and lay persons with compassionate hearts
and leadership skills which combine for effective ministry.
The administration
of the Church of God at the international level is under the supervision
of the general overseer (presiding bishop), three assistants (executive
bishops), the secretary general, and eighteen councilors constituting
the International Executive Council of the church.

Executive Committee
The International Executive
Committee is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the church.
These leaders are elected at the General Assembly, a biennial gathering
of ministers and laity meeting for business, worship, and fellowship.
The state overseer provides leadership at the state or regional level
and local pastors are appointed by the overseer in consulation and
prayer with the local church.

International Executive Council
The International Executive Council is a body
of 18 ministers elected from within the rank of Ordained Bishops
of the Church of God. They serve with the International Executive
Committee to establish polity and direct the ministers of the
Church. Members are elected for two year terms and may be elected
to two consectutive terms. In addition, the Executive Council
includes the moderator for the Full Gospel Church in South Africa
and the national overseer of Indonesia.
